Yesterday I called in to see the
Royal Hibernian Academy's Annual exhibition in Dublin. It's an open submission process so it is an '
unparalleled chance to view work by emerging artists hanging side by side with established artists and RHA members.' There is a huge variety of work on display and some truly amazing pieces of art, including fellow northern glass artist
Alison Lowry's 'Dolly Mixture' sculpture. I was delighted to have another piece exhibited this year, 'Humbug, Purple' which was very tastefully displayed in a mostly monochrome room of drawings and prints. The exhibition runs until 17th August so there's still plenty of time to see the show!

I particularly liked the piece directly beside mine, a nice symmetry of stripes! |
